Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about SAFEJETS aviation safety, compliance and flight operations software.

About SAFEJETS

What is SAFEJETS?

SAFEJETS is a web-based aviation management software suite covering safety, compliance, flight operations and training. It is used by business jet operators, charter companies, AOC holders and maintenance organisations, and its modules are designed around ICAO Annex 19, ICAO Doc 9859 and EASA requirements.

Is SAFEJETS cloud-based or installed on our servers?

SAFEJETS products are web-based. Users access the system through a browser, so there is no local installation to maintain, and updates are delivered centrally.

Does SAFEJETS support languages other than English?

Yes. The platform supports multiple languages, and training courses are published in both English and Turkish.

Is there a mobile app?

Yes. The SAFEJETS MS mobile app is available for iOS and Android. It is designed for reporting from the line — hazards, occurrences, near misses and incidents — including confidential anonymous reporting.

SAFEJETS MS — safety and compliance

What is SAFEJETS MS?

SAFEJETS MS is a web-based compliance and safety management system for aviation organisations. It brings safety management, compliance monitoring, risk assessment, document control and investigation into a single system, with a customisable framework so it can be matched to an operator's own manuals and processes.

Which modules does SAFEJETS MS include?

SAFEJETS MS includes compliance monitoring, safety management, fatigue risk management, document management, task management, a notification system, a meeting module, a Flight Risk Assessment Tool, ICAO safety gap analysis, investigation tools, and AI-assisted analysis.

What is a Safety Management System (SMS)?

A Safety Management System is a systematic approach to managing safety, built on four ICAO components: safety policy and objectives, safety risk management, safety assurance, and safety promotion. Regulators require operators to demonstrate that these components are implemented and actively used, not merely documented.

How does SAFEJETS MS support an audit or CAA inspection?

The system keeps the evidence trail an inspector asks for in one place — findings, corrective and preventive actions, their owners, deadlines and closure status — so compliance can be demonstrated from records rather than reconstructed before an audit.

Can SAFEJETS MS be used outside aviation?

Yes. The framework is customisable and is applied in other industries that operate formal safety and quality management systems, though the standard configuration is built around aviation regulation.

Fatigue and flight time

What are Flight Time Limitations (FTL)?

Flight Time Limitations are the regulatory limits on how long crew may fly and be on duty, and how much rest they must receive. They set maximum flight duty periods, cumulative duty limits and minimum rest requirements, and operators must be able to show that every roster stays inside them.

What does SAFEJETS FTL do?

SAFEJETS FTL manages crew flight, duty and rest time arrangement for flight operations. It covers flight and duty time monitoring, aerodrome competence, off-day arrangement, recent experience and documents on board, with optional training, cost and carbon emission modules.

What is the difference between an SMS and an FRMS?

An SMS is the overall safety management framework, while a Fatigue Risk Management System is a specialised, data-driven process for managing fatigue specifically. An SMS can record fatigue reports; an FRMS is what turns those reports into a validated risk picture and targeted controls.

Can a roster be legally compliant and still be fatiguing?

Yes. Compliance with prescriptive limits does not guarantee adequate recovery. Start times, duty sequencing, cumulative load, time zone transitions and disruption recovery all affect fatigue exposure, which is why operators monitor actual outcomes rather than relying on the limits alone.

What is the Window of Circadian Low (WOCL)?

The Window of Circadian Low is the period in the body clock cycle, typically between roughly 02:00 and 05:59, when alertness and performance are at their lowest. Duties that encroach on it carry higher fatigue risk and are treated differently in fatigue management.

Training and getting started

Do you provide training for the platform?

Yes. SAFEJETS Academy publishes structured courses for the platform, including administrator training and end-user personnel training for SAFEJETS MS, delivered in both English and Turkish.

How do we see the system before committing?

You can request a demonstration through the booking page on this site. A member of the team will walk through the modules relevant to your operation.

How long does implementation take?

Implementation time depends on the size of the operation, the number of modules being adopted and how much existing documentation needs to be migrated. This is scoped with your team during the demonstration rather than fixed in advance.
